1. Mute the Downlink by clicking the PAmp On/Off checkbox.
2. Mute the Uplink by clicking the PAmp On/Off checkbox.
3. Click the Send Parameters button.
4. Choose Downlink maximum desired output power from the Max Power dial
box.
5. Choose Uplink maximum desired output power from the Max Power dial box.
6. Set the gain from the Max Gain dial box according to the measured/calculated
input power.
Note:
Dekolink recommends setting the Maximum Gain value to approximately
12 dB less than the isolation between Donor and Service antennas.
7. Set the gain delta from the Gain Delta dial box.
Note:
When doing so, the Uplink Gain is automatically adjusted (Uplink gain
equals to the Downlink Gain minus the Delta Gain).
8. Set the Smart ALC (SALC) On/Off by clicking the Smart ALC check box.
Note:
Dekolink recommends working with the SALC ON. While using the
SALC feature, the actual repeater output power will be degraded by 2 dB
from the Max Power. The SALC will make the repeater integrate much
more seamlessly in the IDEN network, and will protect the repeater from
oscillations.
9. Choose the desirable channel number from the Converter 1 dial box. The
defined channel is the upper channel of the four adjacent channels.
10. Click the Send Parameters button.
