TORQUE ADJUSTMENT

Fig. 1
before making any adjustments always unplug the tool from the power
supply unit.
tightening torque is adjusted by varying clutch spring compression.
this is achieved by tightening or untightening the threaded adjuster ring
by inserting the key provided into the slot in the outer body of the screwdriver; to
gain access to the adjuster ring, slide the cover over the slot downwards (see fig. 1).
turn the screwdriver counter clockwise to increase torque or clockwise to reduce it
(see fig. 2). the clutch spring must never be compressed fully or to such an extent
that the clutch reaches torques greater than those indicated in the catalogue for the
screwdriver model in question.
after adjusting the clutch, remove the adjuster key and slide the access cover back
in place.
While using the screwdriver, alWays keep the clutch adjustment slot
closed. failure to follow this rule could lead to personal injury or da-
mage to objects. never switch on or start the screwdriver if the slot is
not closed properly.
if the screwdriver is used by accident with the slot open, dust and dirt
could get inside the clutch mechanism of the screwdriver and affect
its efficiency or reduce its working life.
