The pump moves blood from your heart
to other parts of your body. The pump
is implanted at the base of your heart
during surgery.
The controller operates the pump and
makes sure it is working correctly. It
warns you with words, lights and
sounds if there is a problem.
The battery is used to power the
controller and the pump. Two batteries
or one battery and an AC adapter or DC
adapter are ALWAYS required.
