Calling using the distress log
The Distress Log contains the Distress Log data for the 20 most
recently received distress calls, so that you can call any of them
quickly. Always try to make voice contact on CH16 first, as follows:

You can then select:

and to find the caller you want to call back and press [OK].
DELETE — to delete the call from the distress log.
SAVE MMSI — to save the caller's MMSI.
INFO — to view more information about the distress call.
or to reach the working channel you want to specify and
Press [OK] to send the call request on CH70, or
Press [X] to exit without sending.
Press the [SILENC] softkey to silence the alert.
Press [PTT] to commence voice communication.
[YES] to send again, or
[NO] to quit and return to standby mode.
