Depending on the device model used, you can connect a video
source (transmitter) or a monitor (receiver). All cameras and video
sources generating a standard PAL or NTSC signal and all monitors
suitable for standard PAL or NTSC video signals can be used for
this purpose.
Connect the video monitor using video cable (75 Ohm, BNC con-
nector) to the BNC socket Video Out of a transmitter.
or
Connect the camera or other video source using video cable
(75 Ohm, BNC connector) to the BNC socket Video In of a receiver.
Set the slide switch 75 Ω on the front of the transmitter to • to ter-
minate the video input when the video signal is not lopped through.
The VideoJet 10 can be connected to a 10/100 Base-T network
either directly or via a hub. For this purpose use standard UTP
Cat 5 cable with RJ45 connectors.
Connect the network cable to the socket Ethernet.
The alarm input is provided for switching an external alarm gener-
ator, e.g. a door contact or sensor. Using the appropriate configura-
tion an alarm generator, for example, can activate the automatic
connection setup between the VideoJet 10 and a remote location.
A voltage free closing contact or switch can be used as activator.
Note
When possible, a switch with a minimum contact bounce should be
used as an activator.
