  • Page 3 TIPS FOR GETTING THE BEST RESULTS FRIENDLY ADVICE EASY TIPS Clean the unit after each shift - it only takes a minute. Stay away from the baseboards/corners; people don’t walk there! Switch the unit “OFF” about 10 feet before making a turn. Then make the turn and switch unit back “ON”.
  • Page 4 USING THE ULTRA-TRAK PREPARATION 1.0 - GETTING STARTED Ensure the batteries are fully charged. Use a paperclip to check the manifold is clear before each use. Presoak applicator pad with desired coating product and hand wring. CHECKING THE MANIFOLD BEFORE EACH USE ENSURES BEAUTIFUL EVEN COVERAGE, EVERY TIME.

  • Page 6 PREPARING THE ULTRA-TRAK FOR USE 5.0 - PRIME THE ULTA-TRAK Position the Ultra-Trak where you are going to begin application. Use the lift handle to lower the head assembly down to the floor, Set the “Power On” switch to “On.” Press the “Manual Pump”...
  • Page 7 PRODUCT FLOW RATE 6.0 - PRODUCT FLOW RATE: TIMER SETTING The Ultra-Trak dispenses product when pulled. Each revolution of the wheels activates the pump and dispenses solution. The amount dispensed is controlled by the timer setting. Flow rate is usually between 2-5 on the dial, depending on the requirements of your coating product..

    USING THE ULTRA-TRAK 7.0 - MAIN AREAS Begin pulling in a straight line. Once the initial line is complete, a “wet edge” must be maintained with an overlap of 3 to 4 inches per pass. Stay 3 inches away from the edges to avoid finish accumulation at the edges. Between coats, cover the head assembly with the black Velcro vinyl bag in to protect the manifold and pad from drying out.
  • Page 9 FINISHING UP 8.0 - FINISHING UP Near the completion of each job, on the last 20 - 30 feet, pull the suction hose out of the solution container and use up the solution left in the system. Turn unit “off” 15 feet before you finish an area to draw excess finish from pad. Pull the lift handle in the up position to get head off the ground for easy cleaning and transport/storage.
  • Page 10 CLEANING OVERVIEW TOP TIPS Cleaning out the Ultra-Trak base only takes 1 minute! It is extremely important that it cleaning is done properly. Why? Unused solution can dry and cause the distribution tube and pump to become inoperable. Take care of the Ultra-Trak, and it will take care of you. WHAT DO I NEED? - A Paper clip.
  • Page 11 PLAN & PREPARE 10.0 - PLAN YOUR JOB EXIT Near the completion of each job, raise the suction hose out of the solution -container and use up the solution left in the system on the last 20 to 30 feet. 10.1 - PREPARE IN ADVANCE A clean 5-gallon container of water (or solvent) approximately 1/3 full.
  • Page 12 CLEANING UP 11.0 - HOW TO CLEAN THE PUMP SYSTEM Clean the system with clear water or solvent, according to the flooring finish applied, using the 5 gal pail. Place the suction hose into the 5 gal pail and press the “manual pump” switch to clean the system.

    PACKING AWAY 13.0 - PACK UP CORRECTLY FOR NEXT TIME Batteries should be re-charged each time the machine is used. The 12-volt Genius charger should be plugged into a 110-volt outlet in a dry, indoor area. Make sure the “Power” switch is in the “Off/Charge” position. Low batteries may require up to 5 hours of re-charging.
