LUBRICATION
On objects that are involved in mutual friction in relative movement, to ensure their optimal
movement, moving surfaces need to be properly lubricated to reduce energy consumption and
enhance machine performance, machine efficiency and service life. Therefore, lubricating oil
needs to be refilled or replaced to extend the service life of the machine and maintain machine
precision and stability. For selection of lubricating oil, characteristics and oiling frequency,
refer to the recommendation described in Table 6.6 of this manual. In case of doubt, please
consult our company or dealers.
6.1
Lubrication of spindle bearings
Superior grade lubricating grease is adopted for lubrication of the spindle bearing, which has
a long service life and is suitable for high temperature and high speed environments, and will
keep the bearing lubricated without losing grease. Therefore, the spindle will not require refill
or replacement of lubricating grease for some time, thereby reducing maintenance costs.
1. When the machine is restarted after a long time of no operation (five days or more), the
front spindle shall be warmed up for about one hour, running at a low speed for 30
minutes before running at a higher speed.
2. In case there is noise during operation, immediately contact our company so that our pro-
fessionals can do the inspection and test. Do not try to adjust or disassemble the machine
by yourself without authorization.
6.2
Lubrication of slide rail and ballscrew
Centralized lubrication system is adopted as oil feeding method for the linear slide rail and
ballscrew on X, Z axes. The control system will set their automatic oil feeding cycles.
The machine operator must regularly check if the oil level is high enough, and if there is
noise.
6.3
Lubrication of ballscrew bearings
Ballscrew bearings at motor end and tail end are lubricated with grease and sealed with an oil
seal. In case the grease deteriorates, the bearing must be disassembled and cleaned before it is
reinstalled. Please contact our company so our professionals may execute servicing and ad-
justment.
