4.2.2 Z axis driving mechanism

AC servo motor is designed as the source of force for Z axis driving mechanism. The cou-
pling directly drives the ball screw to rotate and thereby drives the saddle, to move the saddle
in Z direction on the slide rail on the base. Before ex-factory shipment, this machine has been
subjected to rigorous tests. Do not adjust by yourself unless absolutely necessary. Leave ad-
justment to our professional technicians so as not to affect machine precision and damage the
bearings.
4.3

Hydraulic chuck installation and adjustment

1. Machine use direct connecting type for hydraulic tank and pulley, please double check
pulley lock tight or not before installation.
2. Please lock the pull rod and hydraulic tank tightly.
3. Please insert the pull rod into spindle hole and install pulley in the hydraulic tank
at the same time, then lock screw bolts.
4. Please install chuck bracket on the spindle (not on direct type chuck).
5. Connecting hydraulic pipe to oil separator of hydraulic tank and move forward the pull
rod.
6. When install the chuck, please use special wrench to lock pull rod and screw nut, then
lock chuck fixing screw bolt.
7. After installed the chuck, please adjust screw nuts of pull rod to connect jaw and chuck
completely.
8. Please step foot switch to check the movement of chuck ok or not.
9. Please fix the scale on the hydraulic tank, measure the runout valve between hydraulic
tank and spindle, the valve of runout on 0.01 mm is best which can't exceed 0.03 mm.
The method of adjusting runout as following:
 Rotating the spindle to max. runout valve (highest position)
 Then follow lock direction to lock screw nut.
