E Type

NOTE
• When tightening the guide mounting bolt, the adjuster may rotate along with the
bolt. In this case, hold down the adjuster with your finger while tightening the guide
mounting bolt.
• After installing the chain device, turn the crank and make sure that there is no
abnormal noise caused by the chain striking the guide.
• Similarly, make sure that there is no abnormal noise caused by the chain striking the
guide when shifting to the largest sprocket or when the rear suspension is depressed.
E Type
This type is installed on the E type mounting boss for the front derailleur on the frame or above
the plate that is tightened together with the bottom bracket. The plate is not included with this
component.
Installation is not possible with the front chainring already installed.

Remove the guide from the bracket.
This step is not necessary if you are using a 30T or 32T chainring.
