JOAB takes no responsibility for consequences that occur due to work carried out by non-pro- fessionals. After receiving the EcoDrive Hook-Lift, ensure that it is in proper working order. If it is not, con- tact JOAB, your dealer, or other supplier.
Mounting the hook-lift onto a vehicle that has not been specifically designed for the purpose of carrying a hook-lift will increase the risk of an abnormal load on the vehicle. This in turn can lead to serious injury or damage. EcoDrive manual: 13300 Edition 1 | 2019-01-31...
About the Hook-Lift | Correct Usage Correct Usage Incorrect use of JOAB's products can lead to material fatigue and cause excessive wear to the hydraulics and its components. The service life of the product can be reduced and in the worst- case lead to breakdown.

All hook-lifts have a manufacture-plate located on the front left-hand side of the subframe. The information on the manufacture-plate must be provided in the event of making a claim or when ordering spare parts from JOAB. EcoDrive manual: 13300 Edition 1 | 2019-01-31...
All development and manufacture is per- formed by JOAB. We are ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified. A large proportion of our production is auto- mated. This guarantees high quality in the man- ufacturing process.

SS 3021. JOAB's hook-lifts are designed to handle bodies that are manufactured in accordance with the Swedish standard SS 3021. Shown below are some of the more important requirements of the standard: SS 3021.
Page 16
The body must have a stop member that pre- vents the body from moving forwards and into the cab of the vehicle. Internal holes located in the body's frame mem- bers are used to lock the body onto a trailer. EcoDrive manual: 13300 Edition 1 | 2019-01-31...
Do not make any modifications to the hook-lift as this can effect its structural properties. If a modification is required, contact JOAB for advice before making a modification to the hook-lift. EcoDrive manual: 13300 Edition 1 | 2019-01-31...
Operation This chapter explains the operation and control of the EcoDrive Hook-Lift using the CBW con- troller, that is located inside the cab. The hook-lift can also be controlled with the use of JOAB's radio controller. Radio controllers are an extra option. For further information see "Radio Controllers", on page 27.

6. To operate a hook-lift function, press and hold down the function's icon for ten seconds. EcoDrive Standard Functions EcoDrive Hook-Lifts come equipped with a number of standard functions, as listed and described below. In addition, it is also possible to order optional functions. For information regarding optional functions, see "EcoDrive Optional Functions", on page 24.
14. Decentralized Hydraulic System - DHS Intelligent Pump Control - IPC The EcoDrive system determines when the pump needs to be activated. When the pump is turned on, it will only operate when power is required, as determined by the system.
These are used to anchor the body onto the vehicle, such as a crane lift body. If FFD is deactivated, damage will occur when loading or unloading a body with dowel pins. Make sure that FFD is active. EcoDrive manual: 13300 Edition 1 | 2019-01-31...
Decentralized Hydraulic System - DHS EcoDrive's hydraulic system is modular. This has enabled a 30 % reduction in the number of hoses required, which in turn reduces the risk of damage to hoses. It also provides faster response times for certain functions.

Operation | EcoDrive Optional Functions Service Online System - SOS JOAB's Cloud solution for EcoDrive provides remote roadside assistance, regardless of your loc- ation. Auto-Cycle As an extra option, the cab controller can also be equipped with an automatic cycle function.
Radio Controllers A radio operated controller can be bought as an option for all EcoDrive Hook-Lifts. These allow for operation of the hook-lift remotely. The operator does not need to be in the vehicle to oper- ate the hook-lift. The use of a radio controller allows the operator to have a good visual overview of the lifting operation.
To activate it, simply push it in. It must be pulled out to start the con- troller. Function Mode Buttons 1–12 are multi-functional. They can have three functions assigned to them. These are related to the function mode selected for the controller (Function_1, Function_2, or Function_ EcoDrive manual: 13300 Edition 1 | 2019-01-31...
To start the radio controller, follow the procedure listed below: 1. Make sure that the STOP button is pulled out. 2. Press and hold down buttons 11 and 12 simultaneously until a bleep is heard. 3. Verify that the display turn ON. EcoDrive manual: 13300 Edition 1 | 2019-01-31...
Note, this is not a precise value and must be seen as an indication of the actual weight only. JOAB AB disclaims all responsibility if a vehicle is over weight, even if the radio controller displays a value that is lower then the maximum allowed for the vehicle.
The length of the body and the load on it affect the lifting capability of the hook- lift. A short overhang causes an abnormal load. A correctly designed body for your chassis will dis- tribute the load correctly. EcoDrive manual: 13300 Edition 1 | 2019-01-31...
Page 40
Distributing a Load on a Body | The body must be covered if it contains loose material. There is a risk that loose material will be thrown off the vehicle if it is not covered. EcoDrive manual: 13300 Edition 1 | 2019-01-31...
3. Start the hydraulic pump. Once the pump is started, the pump icon will be displayed in the CBW controller as shown. For information regarding the starting of the pump, refer to "User Interface", on page 12. EcoDrive manual: 13300 Edition 1 | 2019-01-31...

The trailer on the other hand acts against this force, since it is connected to the vehicle. If the force to the tip cylinders is increased above 195 bar, it will eventually cause damage. EcoDrive manual: 13300 Edition 1 | 2019-01-31...

Service and Maintenance | Washing the Hook-Lift 5. Verify that all lighting and other electrical equipment functions correctly. 6. Finish by inspecting the hydraulic pump. If any damage is found, contact your JOAB workshop imme- diately. Washing the Hook-Lift Newly lacquered surfaces must be cleaned using detergent and a sponge only.
The air-filter should be replaced at least once every two years, or more often, as required. Service-Reminder Sticker A JOAB service sticker is placed on the inside of the drivers door to indicate when the hook-lift is due for its next service. In the example shown opposite, the numbers around the outside represent the months January to December.
Service telephone: +46 863-08871 Visit our website: www.joab.se to order spare parts and find your nearest JOAB authorised workshop. Torquing of Fasteners All fasteners on the hook-lift shall be re-torqued after 5000 km of operation. Vertical pendulum- bolts shall be re-torqued to 40 Nm. All other bolts shall be torqued as stated below.
The correct placement of the tip-support when working on the hook-lift is also shown. It must placed between the sub frame and the inter- mediate-section, using its anchor points, as shown and described below. EcoDrive manual: 13300 Edition 1 | 2019-01-31...
