AFTER USE
The appliance requires no extensive maintenance or care.
The appliance, accessories and dirty water tank should
however be cleaned with a moist cloth when required. When
doing this take care to ensure that no electrical components
come into contact with water. The motor protection filter
should be cleaned occasionally or if the cartridge filter has
become defective. To do this remove the foam plastic disc
and clean with water and a little washing-up liquid. When the
filter is dry, reinstall it in its original position.
If the appliance is found not to be working satisfactorily
(reduction in suction power, unusual voices or complete
stoppage) first check to ensure that the suction channels
are not obstructed. Any repairs which may be required
should e carried out only by the FAKİR after-sales service
organization.
Filters must be cleaned or replaced at certain interval in
order to obtain the most cleaning efficiency from the
appliance. Withdraw the mains plug from the power
socket before carrying out any change of filter.
A- Long-life Cartridge Filter - When the suction power
diminishes to a noticeable extent, the cartridge filter must be
cleaned or replaced. To do this, riease the canister
clamps and remove the hood from the canister. Turn the filter
retaining clip anticlockwise and carefully pull off the filter
cartridge with base plate. Shake or lightly tap the cartridge to
remove clinging dust. For even better results, remove the dust
with your ordinary vacuum cleaner, using the crevice nozzle.
In doing so, take care to ensure thet the paper part of the filter
cartridge is not damaged. Now reinstall the cartridge filter in
the reverse order.
B- Paper Filter - Release the canister clamps, remove the
hood from the canister and set on one side. Carefully push
tha contaminated paper filter sufficiently far back to expose
the socket located inside. Now pull the filter upwards out of
the canister and dispose of in the waste bin. Unfold the new
paper filter, peel back the rims at the side of the cardboard
disc and carefully push the filter onto the socked in the
canister as far as it will go. Place the ends of the filter afainst
the inner wall of the canister, then install and secure the hood.
In doing this, take care to ensure that the paper filter in not
damaged by the filter cartridge.
