Rudder datum selection
When operating in Workboat mode, the pilot will assume, depending
on the option selected for "Rudder Datum Selection", that either:
the rudder datum is zero (Rudder datum = 0)
or
the rudder datum is the current rudder position
(Rudder datum = 1)
The latter allows for situations where rudder offsets need to be
applied to steer a straight course. This is particularly useful if trawl
nets are being deployed to one side.
Selecting Workboat mode
Manual selection
When in Response Levels 1,2 or 3, you can manually select Workboat
mode at any time by pressing the RESP key and then selecting
Response Level 4.

Automatic selection

If you have selected 'Auto Workboat mode' option 1 in calibration,
the Raypilot will automatically enter Workboat mode whenever your
boat's speed drops below the predefined speed selected in calibration.
The original response level will resume once the boat's speed rises
above the threshold.
Note: You can over-ride the automatic selection at any time by
pressing the RESP key to select the desired level as described in the
previous paragraph.
