S ometimes certain faults detected can be easily
T r o u b l e s h o o t i n g
resolved. Before calling the Technical Assistance
Service, bear in mind the following advice:
Fault
Malfunction of the
general electrical
system.
The electric ignition
does not work.
The burner flame is
not uniform.
The gas flow is not
normal or there is no
gas.
The kitchen smells of
gas.
The burner goes off
after ignition.
The burner flame will
not hold after
ignition.

Possible cause
The household fuse has tripped.
There may be food or cleaning products
stuck between the ignition sparkers and
the burners.
The burners are wet.
The burner caps are not correctly
positioned.
Power cut
The burner components are not correctly
positioned.
The grooves on the burner are dirty.
The gas supply is blocked via gas taps.
If the gas is supplied from a gas cylinder,
check that this is not empty.
There may be a leak in the tube
connection.
There may be a leak of gas.
The control knob was not held down for
long enough.
The control knob was not pushed hard
enough.
The grooves on the burner are dirty.
The control knob was not pushed down
hard enough.
The control knob was not pushed down
long enough.
The grooves on the diffuser are dirty.
Solution
Contact an electrical installer.
The space between the ignition sparker
and the burner must be clean.
Dry the burner caps carefully.
Check that the burner caps are correctly
positioned.
Ignite the burner with a lighter or a match.
Ensure the components are correctly
positioned.
Clean the grooves on the burner.
Open all gas taps.
Change the gas cylinder.
Contact an electrical installer.
Turn of the gas, do ventilation. Contact an
electrical installer. Do not use the
appliance until it is checked.
Once the burner is on, hold the control
knob down a few seconds longer. Fully
press control knob.
Once the burner is on, press the control
knob in completely for approximately 4
seconds. Make sure to press firmly.
Clean the grooves on the burner.
Ensure knob is firmly pushed down when
lighting the burner.
Once the burner is lit, hold the control
knob firmly down a few seconds longer.
Clean the grooves on the diffuser.
