User Guide

The following materials should be in the LSRAV Dragster Kit. If

anything is missing, call Pitsco Customer Service at 800-358-4983 or

Teachers: Copy these instructions for the class pack kits.

Materials Included:

• 2 front wheels

• 2 rear wheels

• 2 axles

• 2 screw eyes

• 4 brass washers

• Wooden body blank

• Foam body blank

• Plastic straw

• CO

cartridge

• Grid paper

• 1/4" grid paper

Items Required (not included):

• Pitsco Free Hand Foam Cutter or coping saw

• Latex or tempera paints (for foam prototype)

• Drill (drill press recommended)

• Spray or acrylic paints (for dragster finish)

• Band saw or jigsaw

• Construction paper

• Carbon paper

• Scissors

• Wood rasp

• Sandpaper

• Sanding sealer (optional)

• Decals and stickers (optional)

Page 2 After tracing around the templates and removing them, cut the side view first using the Pitsco Free Hand Foam Cutter or a coping saw. Second, cut the shape drawn on the bottom of the body blank.
Page 3 Tape the templates onto the wooden body blank and use a pencil to trace around them. Locate the axle holes (1" from the end and 3/8" from the bottom of the wooden body blank) and engine housing. Remove the templates. Drill the axle holes.
