FOR BUILT-IN CABINETS, A UTILITY VERSION
OF THE ACCLAIMED D7 TOWER
The unique cabinet design, placement switch and wide
dispersion tweeter of the ICS 1070 bring the performance
of a freestanding high-end tower to an in-cabinet book-
shelf enclosure. Conventional bookshelf loudspeakers
sound "chesty" and image poorly when used in in-cabinet
applications. The ICS 1070 is a 6.5-inch, D'Appolito Array,
designed by Snell chief engineer, Joe D'Appolito, to fit into
furniture and millwork, and, is tuned to compensate for
the sonic problems that these cabinet boundaries cause.
The twin 6.5-inch long throw woofers provide extended
bass and plenty of output, while the 1-inch low-resonance,
silk dome tweeter enables a large sweet spot for better
stereo imaging. The ICS 1070 uses the same components as
the Snell D7 Tower and AMC 870 in-wall monitor, mounted
in a robust, texture-painted enclosure. This high output
LCR can be used for Left, Center and Right or mixed and
matched with these two siblings to provide clean, im-
pactful sound with an effortless and "airy" soundstage...
perfect for music and movies.
