A COMPACT LCR FOR VERTICAL OR HORIZONTAL
PLACEMENT IN AUDIO VIDEO CABINETS
The Snell ICS 570 is for applications where the
performance of a freestanding tower is limited by room
decor. All bookshelf and tower speakers sound "chesty
and cupped" when placed into cabinets, millwork,
or bookshelf locations. With the ICS 570, Dr. Joseph
D'Appolito, Snell's chief engineer, cleverly configured
a 6.5-inch D'Appolito Array to a utility enclosure
specifically sized and tuned to integrate into most
audio video furniture. With the two 6.5-inch poly
woofers, 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter and a very
compact 16.5-inch x 6.75-inch speaker enclosure,
the ICS 570 is voiced to compensate for cabinet
boundaries and off axis response. The result is an
achievement in openness and clarity that matches
today's top freestanding designs. Built to withstand
the rigors of today's challenging movie soundtracks
while upholding its "audiophile" pedigree when playing
music, the ICS 570 is the perfect speaker to be heard
and not seen.
