Understanding Roaming

Recognizing Icons on the Display Screen
Your phone's display screen always lets you know when you are off the Nationwide PCS
Network. Any time you are roaming, the phone displays the roaming icon.
Tip: Remember, when you are using your phone off the Nationwide PCS Network, always dial
numbers using 11 digits (1 + area code + number).
Note: You will pay a higher per-minute rate for roaming calls unless your service plan includes
roaming.
Roaming on Other Digital Networks
When you are roaming on other digital networks, your call quality and security will be similar to
the quality you receive when making calls while on the Nationwide PCS Network. You may not
be able to access certain features depending on the available network.
Note: If you are on a call when you leave the Nationwide PCS Network and enter an area where
roaming is available, your call is dropped. If your call is dropped in an area where you think PCS
Service is available, turn your phone off and on again to reconnect to the Nationwide PCS
Network.

Setting Your Phone's Roam Mode

Your phone allows you to control your roaming capabilities. By using the Roaming menu option,
