Required Equipment:

INSTRUMENT TYPE

1 DC/AC Voltage Calibrator
1 Digital Multimeter
1 Current amplifier
1 Magnet Wire Coil 100 turns
1 Small insulated screwdriver
1 BNC to banana plug adapter
2 DMM with 1 A Range and 1 V AC
band with 100 KHz Accuracy 1% or better
1 Function generator from 50 to 100 KHz
To be able to calibrate the SL261 you need to pop out the plastic dot located on the left side of
the probe (use sharp tweezers), thus accessing the potentiometer. Connect the different
instruments as shown below.
Use the following procedure to calibrate the AEMC Model SL261:
Turn calibrator on and allow sufficient warm-up time for stable operation (15 to 30 mn).
a) Connect the 100 turns coil to the output of the calibrator and the Model SL261 to the Digital
Multimeter input (use the BNC adapter). Select the 200 mV DC range on the multimeter and
"100 mV/A" range on the probe

Accuracy: 0.1% DC and ≥ 0.15% AC or equivalent
