Operating modes
The Wireless Keypad has four distinct operating modes:
Mode:
Standby
The Wireless Keypad is in standby mode, and uses very little power.
Opening
After a correct PIN has been entered, the lock is addressed via radio
transmission and can be operated.
Programming
In this mode, the following can be programmed or reset:
Battery warning
A multi-level battery warning system provides plenty of advance notice when it
is almost time to change the batteries.

Operating
Using the Wireless Keypad is a simple matter of entering the correct number of digits
in the correct order. If the correct PIN is entered the appropriate transponder
integrated in the keypad sends a signal to the adjacent SimonsVoss lock or
SmartRelay resulting in unlocking the door or activating the relay respectively.
Each of the three integrated transponders in the Keypad can be programmed, read,
or reset with the LDB or LSM software.
The following pages describe the procedures for using and programming the Wireless
Keypad.
