Do not remove cut material or hold material to be cut when blades are moving. Make sure the switch is off and the battery has been removed when clearing jammed material.

    KNOW YOUR POLE SAW AND HEDGE TRIMMER The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the information on the product and in this operator’s manual as well as a knowledge of the project you are attempting.     ASSEMBLY W a R N I N g Before assembly, remove the battery from the tool. FITTINg aNd REmOVINg THE BaTTERY (FIg.2) • To insert the battery (1), line it up with the battery compartment (3) on the tool. Slide the battery into the battery compartment and push until the battery snaps into place.

CHaRgINg THE BaTTERY The battery needs to be changed before first use and whenever it fails to produce sufficient power on jobs that were easily done before.The battery may become warm while charging; this is normal and does not indicate a problem.

  • Page 20 OPERATION OPERaTINg THE POLE HEdgE TRImmER TIPS FOR OPTImUm USE • Start by trimming the top of the hedge. Slightly tilt the tool (up to 15° relative to the line of cut) so that the blade tips point slightly towards the hedge (FIG.14). This will cause the blades to cut more effectively.
