Intended Use:

A digital thermometer is a device used to measure the body temperature of a patient by means
of a transducer coupled with an electric signal amplification, conditioning, and display unit.

Safety Information:

WARNING: This is NOT an ear thermometer. NEVER put probe into ear. Take temperature
measurements Underarm, Orally or Rectally.
WARNING: Never allow children to play with this product. It is not a toy. This is a sensitive
electronic device and may be damaged if not used properly under parental
supervision.
WARNING: Always supervise your child when using thermometer. NEVER allow your
child to use it alone or without close parental supervision.
WARNING: Avoid sudden impact and dust. Do not expose the thermometer to extrem
temperatures, humidity, direct sunlight or shock.
WARNING: Temperature readings are affected by many factors including exercise,
drinking hot or cold beverages prior to taking a reading as well as technique.
WARNING: Do not allow children to walk or run during temperature taking. Do not
allow children to chew on or bend the thermometer. The probe could present a hazard.
WARNING: Rectal temperatures vary by approximately 0.9°F/0.5°C.
WARNING: High, prolonged fever requires medical attention, especially for young chil-
dren. Please contact your physician.
WARNING: Do not use the device if you think it is damaged or if anything appears unusual.
WARNING: Using the unit in the immediate vicinity of mobile phones, microwave
appliances or other devices with strong electromagnetic fields may result in impaired
functioning
WARNING: An "ERR" message in the window indicates your unit is not functioning
properly.
WARNING: No modification of this equipment is allowed.
WARNING: Battery should not be charged or placed into extreme heat as it may explode.
WARNING: Used batteries should be disposed of properly.
WARNING: Keep battery out of children' s reach. Swallowing battery could be fatal. Battery
should not be recharged or placed into extreme heat as it may explode.
ATTENTION: Totally protected against dust ingress, protected against the effect of
immersion in water.
