3. Remove the rear cover. This is fixed with two knobs at the rear. Lift the
cover up and backwards.
4. Remove the batteries' fixing bars. They are fixed with two knobs each
(see illustration). Turn the fixing bars backwards without detaching the
cables.
5. Detach the battery connections. Lift the batteries out of the chassis.
6. Fit the two new batteries. Place the batteries with the poles facing the out-
er sides of the chassis. Reattach the battery connections.
(See also the sticker on the inside of the front chassis cover.)
7. Fit the batteries fixing bars. They are fixed with two knobs each (see
illustration).
8. Refit the chassis covers. On a wheelchair without an electric seat lift, refit
the seat. Switch the automatic main fuse to ON.

WARNING!
Be careful when using metal objects when working with batteries. A short-
circuit can easily cause an explosion. Always use safety gloves and safety
goggles.
Remember that the batteries are heavy and must be handled with great
caution.

IMPORTANT!
Used or malfunctioning batteries should be disposed of responsibly in
accordance with local recycling regulations.
