Technical description
The hand-held spray gun PILOT II is a light, easy to handle and high-performance
gravity feed cup spray gun, especially designed for the processing of paints and
lacquers on small and narrow work pieces. A wide selection of material nozzles
allows the pprocessing of almost any type of material.
Open the air supply and adjust the air pressure reducing valve to the desired ato-
mizing air rate.
Pulling of the trigger (Item 24) opens the air control valve (for initial air input), follo-
wed by pull-back of the material control needle. Release of the trigger shuts the
gun in reverse order.
With the trigger pulled, the material is drawn into the spray jet column by way of
the injector effect of the atomizing air. The material output depends on the size of
the nozzle installed - and may also be controlled by way of adjusting the set-screw
(Item 14).
The spray pattern cone angle is adjusted by way of turning the air control head
(Item 1) forward or back as required (this does not apply to the flat-jet air cap).
Once the desired spray jet ratio has been obtained, use the adjusting collar
(Item 2) to lock the air cap in position.
