WEAR SAFETY EQUIPMENT Wear a hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses and other applicable personal protective equipment. Remove jewelry and rings, do not wear loose-fitting clothing and tie back long hair that could catch on controls or moving machinery. HEATER IS HOT & CAN BURN The heater can burn skin and clothing.

ABRADE PIPE & FITTING • ABRADE pipe and fitting. • Remove any loose particles from pipe and fitting. ALIGN FITTING TO PIPE • Loosely place fitting into the Pivot Release Master (PRM). • ALIGN the base of the fitting on the pipe by applying 100lbs of force to seat the fitting.

INITIAL HEAT FORCE & HEAT SOAK • Check heater adapter surface temperature. • Clean heater surfaces. • Place heater on pipe. • Apply INITIAL HEAT FORCE (Observe indication of melt at the crown of the pipe). • Reduce pressure to HEAT SOAK FORCE (Observe bead size around the base of the fitting).

• Smoothly close drive screw until the fitting makes contact with the pipe. • Apply FUSION FORCE and maintain force until pressure stabilizes. • Maintain pressure for the entire COOL TIME. REMOVE MACHINE & INSPECT FUSION • Remove the Sidewinder from fitting and pipe. ® • INSPECT fusion.
