PRODUCT INSTALLATION

CAUTION! Install the UPS in a temperature-controlled
environment that is free of conductive contaminants. Select a
location that will provide good air circulation for the UPS at all
times. Avoid locations near heating devices, water, or excessive
humidity, or where the UPS is exposed to direct sunlight. Route
power cords so they cannot be walked on or damaged.
1. Elevated Operating Ambient Temperature. If installed in a closed or
multiunit rack assembly, the operating ambient temperature of the rack
environment may be greater than room ambient. Therefore, consideration
should be given to installing the equipment in an environment compatible
with the manufacturer's maximum rated ambient temperature.
2. Reduced Airflow. Installation of the equipment in a rack should be such
that the amount of airflow required for safe operation of the equipment is
not compromised.
3. Mechanical Loading. Mounting of the equipment in a rack should be such
that a hazardous condition is not achieved due to uneven mechanical
loading.
4. Reliable Grounding. Reliable grounding of rack-mount equipment should
be maintained. Particular attention should be given to supply connections
other than direct connections to the branch circuit.
