GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Functional Check Instructions provide a quantitative means of determining whether a Care•Free Companion
Pump can properly inflate its cushion. An alternate, qualitative means to check pump and cushion performance is to
follow the HAND CHECK described in the Care•Free Companion Pump Instructions for Use.
The Functional Check Instructions require the use of a Tester tool that simulates the cushion that is normally used with
these pumps. If the pump does not meet the outlined requirement, it should be replaced. Repair is not available for
these pumps.
PHYSICAL INSPECTION
1. Unplug the power cord.
2. Check tubing and cap for visible signs of damage (kinks, cuts, and cracks).
