Receiving the SIRIUS Satellite Signal

The SIRIUS satellite signal is broadcast from satellites covering almost all of North America.
To receive the satellite signal your Stiletto must have a clear view of the sky. Obstructions
such as buildings, trees, bridges and high voltage power lines can easily interfere with the
satellite signal. For that reason SIRIUS also broadcasts its signal from terrestrial radio towers
in most major cities.
To activate or use your Stiletto 10 in portable mode, first be sure you have a strong satellite or
terrestrial signal. You may view the signal strength in your location by navigating to

Signal reception can be greatly improved by installing the Stiletto 10 in the vehicle dock, or by
attaching the antenna headset (included). For best performance it is recommended that you
use your Stiletto 10 with one of these accessories when activating your subscription.
Figures 8 and 9 illustrate several unacceptable situations where obstacles are blocking the
Stiletto 10 from having a clear view of the sky, preventing reception of the signal from the
SIRIUS satellites.
