Changing the Fan Motor When Bell-mouth(B) is installed in the old fan motor, install Bell-mouth (B) as shown in figure to maintain the proper air volume. When you change the fan motor, please remove this part from the old fan motor, and install in the new fan motor. After changing the fan motor, please follow the procedure "Circuit Board Settings 1"...

Disposal method of neutralizing agent (calcium carbonate) remaining in the neutralizer after replacement The neutralizing agent is high purity calcium carbonate (limestone) and it does not contain chemical substances that are harmful to the environment.
  • Page 82: Gas Line Requirements

Gas Line Requirements All Noritz Tankless Water Heaters must be provided with a sufficient supply of gas in order to function properly. An undersized gas line could result in under heated water temperatures and an error code displayed on the operation panel. To verify a properly sized gas line, follow the below procedures. The gas line must provide at least the minimum stated pressure at the maximum firing rate.

    9. Installation Check Installation problems can cause the unit to work unsatisfactorily. If the unit is not working properly, but there are no error codes or evidence of malfunction, check the installation. <Installation Checks> Altitude 1. If this water heater is installed in a location where the altitude is greater than 2000 ft., the combustion may become abnormal because of the thinness of the air.
  • Page 95 Filling the Neutralizer Unit before Vent Pipe Installation. Prior to initial start up, make sure that you fill the neutralizer unit with water. DANGER This is to prevent dangerous exhaust gases from entering the building. Failure to fill the neutralizer unit could result in severe personal injury or death. Please follow one of the procedures described below to ensure that the neutralizer unit is filled with water.
