WARRANTY POLICY:

Your Seawind 1000XL2 is warranted to be free from defects in material and
workmanship for a period of one year from the date of delivery to the original
purchaser.
In addition we warrant the hulls and decks for blistering or
structural failure for a total of five years.
Warranty shall be limited to replacing, correcting or repairing any part
manufactured or installed by Seawind which is determined to be defective by
reason of faulty workmanship or material.
This warranty shall not apply to:-
1. Defects caused by accident, misuse, neglect, improper repair, lack of
proper maintenance, normal wear and tear, negligent operation or
improper modifications by persons other than Seawind employees.
2. All parts and accessories not supplied by Seawind and any part not
manufactured by Seawind. Any warranty on such parts, if possible, will
be passed on to the Equipment Supplier, and Seawind will agree to act
as the Purchaser's agent in warranty claims on these parts.
The purchaser shall be responsible for returning the SW1000 or any defective
part to:-
1. Mariglass Sales P/L's Factory (Seawind Catamarans) OR
2. The Agent / Dealer from whom the SW1000 was purchased OR
3. An independent repair facility approved by Seawind or our Agent /
Dealer.
Purchaser agrees to promptly notify Seawind of any condition of part that
Purchaser believes to be defective.
NOTE:
1. The extent of the warranty is limited to the above conditions.
2. The warranty does not cover the following:-
• loss of the use of the boat, loss of time, inconvenience, or
commercial loss,
• direct, special or consequential damages or otherwise arising
out of the use of the boat.
What To Do In The Event Of A Warranty Claim:-
1. Seawind Catamarans must approve any warranty work prior to that
work being performed.
2. Seawind Catamarans also recognises the need to act quickly in
resolving warranty problems and thus minimize any inconveniences.
3. Photocopy the attached Warranty Notification Form and use it for
each warranty claim.
4. Complete Warranty Notification Form and Fax to either your Agent or
Seawind Catamarans directly – depending on whom the boat was
purchased through.
5. Where the warranty involves having work performed by another party –
quotations must be sought and included in the completed Warranty
Notification Form.
6. Where Seawind Catamarans considers it necessary – we reserve the
right to seek alternative quotations for work to be undertaken and will
have the final say as to who will ultimately perform the warranty work.
