Using a microphone
1 Press the [MIC (ON/OFF)] button.
2 Turn the [MIC LEVEL] control clockwise.
The sound of the microphone is output from the speakers.
 Adjusting the sound quality
Turn the [MIC EQ] control.
— When turned fully clockwise, the attenuation of the bass sound is
maximum.
— When turned fully counterclockwise, the attenuation of the treble
sound is maximum.
Using the AUX function
1 Press the [AUX (ON/OFF)] button.
2 Turn the [AUX LEVEL] control.
Adjusts the audio level input to the [AUX IN] terminals.
Audio is output from the [BOOTH]
terminal
Turn the [BOOTH MONITOR] control.
Adjusts the level of audio signals output from the [BOOTH] terminal.

1 BEAT control
Selects the beat multiple for synchronizing the beat effect.
2 BEAT FX (TRANS, FLANGER, ECHO, ROLL) buttons
These turn the respective beat effects on and off.
3 LEVEL/DEPTH control
Adjusts the quantitative parameter of the BEAT FX function.
4 TAP (AUTO) button
Switches the BPM measurement mode.
— AUTO mode: The [TAP (AUTO)] button turns off and the BPM is
measured automatically from the audio signal being input. The
[AUTO] mode is set when this unit's power is turned on.
— TAP mode: The [TAP (AUTO)] button lights and the BPM is
input manually by tapping the [TAP (AUTO)] button. When the
[TAP (AUTO)] button is pressed, the TAP mode is set.
! The BPM measuring range in the AUTO mode is BPM = 70 – 180.
For some tracks, it may not be possible to measure the BPM
correctly.
5 SOUND COLOR FX (NOISE, PITCH, CRUSH, FILTER) buttons
These turn the respective SOUND COLOR FX on and off.
6 COLOR control
This changes the parameters of the SOUND COLOR FX of the differ-
ent channels.

Using the beat effect function
This unit is equipped with four effect buttons. Effects can be applied to
the sound by pressing one of the effect buttons.
Press one of the [BEAT FX (TRANS, FLANGER, ECHO,
ROLL)] buttons.
The button that was pressed flashes.
The effect is applied in beat with the track.
The effect differs for the different buttons. For details on the different
effects, see the table below.
! When a button that is flashing is pressed again, the effect is turned
off.

Cuts the sound according to the

beat multiple set with the [BEAT]
control.
Creates a one-cycle flanger effect
FLANGER
according to the beat multiple set
with the [BEAT] control.
Outputs a delay sound several
times that attenuates gradually
according to the beat multiple set
with the [BEAT] control.
ECHO
With 1/1 beat echoes, the delay
sounds are faded out according
to the track's tempo even after the
input sound has been cut.
Records the input sound at the
point the [ROLL] button is pressed
and repeatedly outputs the
ROLL
recorded sound according to the
beat multiple set with the [BEAT]
control.
 Varying the effect
Turn the [LEVEL/DEPTH] control.
The effect changes according to the direction in which the
[LEVEL/DEPTH] control is turned and its position.
Inputting the BPM manually
1 Press the [TAP (AUTO)] button.
The [TAP (AUTO)] button lights and the mode switches to the TAP
mode.
2 Tap the [TAP (AUTO)] button at least 2 times in
rhythm with the beat (in quarter notes) of the sound
being played.
The average value of the interval at which the [TAP (AUTO)] button was
tapped by finger is set as the BPM.
! To set the mode back to AUTO, press the [TAP (AUTO)] button for
over 1 second.
LEVEL/DEPTH
Sets the balance between
the original sound and the
effect sound.
The further the control is
turned clockwise, the more
the effect is stressed.
When turned all the way
counterclockwise, only the
original sound is output.
Use this to set the balance
between the original sound
and the echo sound.
Sets the balance between
the original sound and the
roll sound.
