or sump.
1.
Ensure there is adequate space around the aquarium or sump to allow the V
to be installed.
2.
We highly recommend TMC Calcium Reactor Media as a media for the V
(0.75kg approx. required). This is available through all TMC stockists. Please go to:
www.tropicalmarinecentre.co.uk to find your local supplier.
Please ensure the calcium reactor media is washed thoroughly before use.
USEFUL TIP: The easiest way to clean the calcium reactor media is to pour it into a bucket or similar
vessel and place it under a continuous supply of fresh water, ensuring that it is vigorously stirred and
that all waste material is drained away. Once the media is clean, the water in the bucket will be
clear and not cloudy or discoloured.
3.
Remove the calcium reactor lid (1) and using a jug or similar vessel carefully
pour the clean media into the calcium reactor until it reaches a level just
below the strainer inside the body (see photo).
4.
Hang the V
React Calcium Reactor on the side or back of your aquarium or
2
sump in the desired location, ensuring that it is in a position where the water
supply intake strainer (6) can be fully immersed below the water surface of
the aquarium, the water outlet tubing (8) can be securely positioned and the
calcium reactor can be installed correctly with sufficient space to carry
out maintenance.
5.
Carefully rotate the hanging adjustment cam (17) to ensure that the
calcium reactor is hanging correctly on the side or back of your
aquarium or sump.
6.
Carefully tighten the securing screw (18).
7.
Position and secure the water supply intake strainer (6) in your aquarium
or sump, ensuring that it is fully submerged below the water surface.
8.
Position and secure the water outlet tubing assembly so that the water
exiting the calcium reactor can be successfully fed back into your
aquarium or sump.
9.
Connect your CO
inlet supply tubing (11) and non return valve (12) to the CO
2
supply to the non return valve (12).
