    PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The SL869T3-I is a 12.2mm x 16.0 mm x 2.55 mm f ully integrated GNSS module which receiv es GPS (L1) and Nav IC (L5) signals. It is based on the ST Micro Teseo III GNSS engine with an ARM-9 core processor, f lash memory , TC XO, RTC cry stal, LNA and SAW f ilter.

    SL869T3-I Product User Guide Message Interf ace MESSAGE INTERFACE The primary UART port (TX/R X) supports f ull duplex communication between the receiv er and the user. Its def ault f unction is NMEA output data and input commands. The def ault UART conf iguration is: 9600 bps, 8 data bits, no parity , and 1 stop bit.

During normal operation, the BOOT pin should be left f loating. This will ensure that the module executes code f rom its internal f lash memory .

The module includes a switching v oltage regulator that supplies the required v oltage to the GNSS dev ice and other internal items.

The metal roof of the v ehicle will cause signif icant blockage, plus any thermal coating applied to the v ehicle glass can attenuate the GNSS signal by as much as 15 dB.

The antenna cannot be shielded because it could not then receiv e the GNSS signals.
