EXTERNAL GPS ANTENNA

The Ctrack iS100 Series II features an internal and optional external GPS antenna. The switching
between the two antennas is automatically handled by the application, depending on which antenna
has the best GPS signal reception.
4.5.

INSERTING SIM CARD

Important:
The user must ensure that the unit is not connected to an external power source
(vehicle battery), while the top access cover of the unit is removed. Failure to disconnect the power
can lead to component damage.
To insert a SIM, the four screws must be unscrewed and the complete PCB assembly must be
carefully removed from the enclosure. The SIM holder is a lift-tray type. A metal sleeve locks the tray
in place when it is down.
