3. ASSEMBLY CAUTION Use caution when unpacking this machine. Some components are heavy and will require additional assistance or mechanical handling equipment. Attach the handle to the handle fixing plate on the sweeper using the nuts provided. Handle Handle Fixing Plate Attach the brush steering lever to the front of the machine.
Install the shift lever to the rear of the sweeper. NOTE: You should install the shift lever into position ‘1’ for new machines. After 100 hours or if as you become more comfortable with the machine speed, you can adjust the lever to position ‘2’ or ‘3’. Slide the brush assembly over the drive shaft on either side of the sweeper and locate the drive pin into the cut out on the brush shaft.
4. PRE OPERATION CHECKS CAUTION This machine is shipped without fuel or oil. You MUST fill the machine BEFORE use or you may cause damage to the machine that will not be covered by the warranty. WARNING ALL fuels are flammable and should be handled with care. Wipe up any spills immediately.

ADDING FUEL CAUTION ALL FUELS ARE FLAMMABLE ALWAYS fuel and defuel in a well ventilated area outside of buildings. CHARGING THE BATTERY NOTE Charging time: 5 Hours 3.16 For electric start models, the battery must be charged before use. 3.17 Connect the charging plug to the battery using the charging port located at the back of the sweeper. 3.18 Plug the other end of the charger into a standard 3 pin wall socket and turn on to charge.
5. STARTING PROCEDURE WARNING This machine is shipped without fuel or oil. You MUST fill the machine BEFORE use or you may cause damage to the machine that will not be covered by the warranty. RECOIL START For cold start, press the primer bulb 5 to 6 times. For warm start move straight to 4.1.

ELECTRIC START For cold start, press the primer bulb 5 to 6 times. For warm start move straight to 4.7. Push the engine speed adjustment lever to the ‘CHOKE’ position. Turn the ignition key until the engine tries start. Move the engine speed adjustment lever to the ‘START’ position. 4.10 Turn the ignition key again, until the engine fires.
6. STOPPING PROCEDURE Release the brush and drive clutch lever. Allow the engine to idle for 20 seconds. Move the engine speed adjustment lever to the ‘OFF’ position. Turn the ignition key to the ‘OFF’ position. 7. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CAUTION ALWAYS check the oil and fuel level BEFORE operation.

Brush Height Adjustment To adjust the brush height. Undo the locking ring by turning anti-clockwise. Turn the brush height adjuster up or down depending on the brush height you require. Once the desired height has been reached, retighten the locking ring to lock the brush height in to place.

Brush Activation To activate the brush, press down on the brush working clutch lever on the left handlebar. Release the lever to stop the brushes. Brush Working Clutch Lever Brush Speed Adjustment Press down the button on the brush speed adjustment lever and move the lever forwards or backwards to increase or decrease the brush speed.

Forward/Reverse Lever 6.13 Once the correct gear has been selected, push down on the driving clutch lever on the right handlebar to engage the sweepers drive. 6.14 Release the drive clutch lever to stop the drive. 6.24 Prior to starting work, the operator must ensure that all protective devices are properly installed and function correctly. 6.25 The operator of the machine is liable for accidents with other individuals or their property. 6.26 Ensure the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn at all times when operating the machine.
8. MAINTENANCE WARNING Before performing any maintenance procedure or inspection, stop the engine and allow to cool for 30 minutes. ALWAYS work in a well ventilated area away from any sources of ignition. ALWAYS wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when carrying out any maintenance.

THE SPARK PLUG You MUST allow the engine to cool down before carrying out any maintenance. Always replace with the same model spark plug as fitted. To check spark plug, remove spark plug cap and remove spark plug. Spark Plug Spark Plug Visually inspect the spark plug and spark plug washer.

AIR FILTER CAUTION A dirty air filter will restrict the air flow to the carburetor, which will reduce engine efficiency. When using the lawnmower in very dusty areas you must clean or replace the air filter more often. Never operate machine without the air filter being fitted it can cause damage to the engine, which is not covered by warranty.
