Page 9 / 21 REMOTE-STARTING REMOTE-STARTING THE VEHICLE This Remote-Starter supports both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. For manual transmission vehicles see the Ready Mode section. To remote-start the vehicle press the START button for approxi- STEP 1 mately 3 seconds. The remote Green Led fl ash and a ascending melodie will sound to confi rm. -

Page 10 / 21 READY MODE (MANUAL TRANSMISSION ONLY) Two activation methods are possible, please consult the salesman or installer to determine which of these modes applies to your vehicle. There are always safety concerns for a manual transmis- sion vehicle to accidentally start while in gear, Ready Mode alleviates these concerns. The driver must enable Ready Mode in order to Remote-Start the vehicle at a later time. -

This method will activate the remote starter sequence everytime the end user is leaving the vehicle. automatic. ACTIVATION : The vehicle must be running. Make sure that all doors are closed and that the transmission is in STEP 1 the NEUTRAL position. -

Page 12 / 21 REMOTE-STARTER FEATURES IDLE MODE (AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION) Idle Mode allows the vehicle to run without the key in the ignition barrel. For example, if you stop for a quick errand or delivery, simply allow the vehicle to run while you are gone. The engine will run until the Remote-Starter runtime expires. -

Page 13 / 21 Exit the vehicle and close all of the doors. The vehicle will continue STEP 7 to run after all the doors are closed. STEP 8 Remote-stop the vehicle. The engine will continue to run until either the remote stop function is pressed (see FULL FUNCTIONS, page 6), the Remote-Starter runtime expires, the parking brake is disengaged, the brake is pressed, or the hood is opened. -

Page 14 / 21 VALET CODING DISABLED (DEFAULT) To activate and deactivate Valet Mode using the valet switch proceed with the following steps : Insert the key and turn it to the ignition (ON/RUN) position. The STEP 1 vehicle does not need to be started. Within 10 seconds press and release the button on the antenna STEP 2 3 times. -

Page 15 / 21 COLD START TIMER MODE Mode will remote-start the vehicle when the tempeture is below -5 C / 23 F every 1.5 or 3 hours and run for 3, 5, 7 or 15 minutes (6, 14 or 30 for diesel engines), depending on programming. The remote-starter will repeat this sequence for up to a maximum of 24 hours. -

Page 16 / 21 REMOTE BUTTON ENABLE AND DISABLE To disable all the buttons on the remote : Press and release FUNCTON and then press simultaneously LOCK and FUNCTON buttons until the RED LED comes on. LOCK THE REMOTE The RED LED will come on whenever a button is pressed when the remote is LOCKED. -

Page 18 / 21 ALARM AUDIBLE CONFIRMATION By default the Alarm will not send an audible confi rmation (horn/siren) after the fi rst signal has been received from the remote transmitter(s). SILENT : Press the LOCK or UNLOCK button ONCE and the park lights will fl ash, but the horn/siren will NOT confi rm the signal. -
