Questions and answers
How do I calibrate this meter?
To calibrate the Extech Instruments CO260 meter for relative humidity:
1. Ensure calibration is performed in a controlled temperature environment of 25°C.
2. Plug the sensor probe into a 33% salt solution bottle.
3. Long press the ESC, MEM, and SET buttons simultaneously to enter calibration mode.
4. The LCD will blink "CAL" and display the current value (e.g., 32.8% at 25°C).
5. The meter will calibrate for about 60 minutes until the value stops blinking.
6. The calibration is complete once the value remains steady.
Caution: Do not calibrate without the default calibration salts, as this may cause the meter to lose calibration data and become inoperable. Contact Extech for calibration salts or services if needed.
