If frequency at no load is correct:
Check Full Load Frequency
1. Make sure the generator circuit breaker is closed.
2. Remove utility power.

3. Load the generator to its full rated electrical
capacity and turn on all gas appliances.
4. Measure frequency at the load side of the circuit
breaker (Fig. 36).
A least 57 Hz at Full Load should be measured.

If frequency is correct:
5. Restore utility power.
• Proceed to test 2.
If frequency is not correct:
• Slowly rotate adjustment screw () until frequency
is above 57 Hz.
• Re-apply utility power.
NOTE
: If full load frequency adjustment was
necessary, recheck the frequency at no load.

Test 2

Measure Frequency at E1 & E2
Gain access to the generator control panel
To The CMA Board" on page
With the unit running,
1. Measure frequency at E1 and E2 at the CMA pins
(Fig. 37).

If frequency is not correct:
• Replace/repair wiring between the circuit breaker
and E1 & E2 at the CMA.
• Retest frequency at E1 & E2.
If frequency is correct but the generator continues to
shut down for low frequency:
• Replace the CMA board.
