This appliance must never be used near
water (e.g. a filled wash basin, bathtub or
shower).
Do not allow the appliance to get wet.
Important safety instructions
1.. . . C AUTION! Injury risk! Do not touch hot surfaces of
the appliance.
2. D o not leave a switched on appliance unattended. Fire
risk.
3. D o not place the hair straightener on wet surfaces or
clothing while it is operating.
4. P lace the appliance only on a heat – resistant surface.
5. D o not immense the hair straightener, cord or plug into
water. Never put away the hair straightener downwards so
that it can fall into water while it is operating.
6. D o not place or store the appliance in a place where it can
fall into water or be splashed with it.
7. Do not use while bathing.
8. The hair straightener should only be used to style hair.
9. I f the hair straightener is damaged while operating unplug
it immediately and return it to a service center.
10. N ever try to remove lint or foreign bodies from the inside
of the hair straightener using sharp objects (e.g. a comb).
11. N ever place any objects into the openings of the hair
straightener.
12. N ever place the hair straightener on a soft surface such as a
bed or couch or on other flammable materials.
13. N ever use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray)
products are being used or where oxygen is being
administered.

14. H airsprays contain flammable materials. Do not apply
them while using the hair straightener.
15. I f the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
qualified service agent in order to avoid a hazard.
T he appliance can only be repaired by qualified service
personnel. Improper servicing may cause a serious hazard
to the user. In case of defects we recommend to turn to a
qualified service agent.
16. I f the appliance falls into water, unplug it immediately. Do
not reach into the water while the unit is plugged in. Do not
use a hair straightener that has fallen into water.
17. E lectrical appliances should be kept out of reach of
children. Do not allow children to use or play with such
appliances. Store the appliance out of reach of children.
P eople (including children), who because of their physical,
sensory or intellectual capabilities or their inexperience or
lack of knowledge are unable to use the appliance safely,
should not use this appliance unless under supervision or
instructed to do so by a responsible person. Do not leave
the appliance unattended during operation.

23. K eep cord away from heated surfaces. Keep the cord away
from heated surfaces. Make sure the cord does not hang so
that it cannot be pulled on or tripped over.
