Audio Adjustments

Introduction of audio
adjustments

1 EQ indicator
Shows when the equalizer curve other than
flat is selected.
2 Audio display
Shows the audio adjustments status.
% Press AUDIO to display the audio func-
tion names.
Press AUDIO repeatedly to switch between
the following audio functions:
FADER (fader adjustment) BAL (balance ad-
justment)BASS (bass level adjustment)
TREBLE (treble level adjustment)LOUD
(loudness)SUB.W (subwoofer on/off set-
ting)/NonFAD (non fading output on/off set-
ting)80Hz (subwoofer setting)/NonFAD
(non fading output setting)HPF (high pass
filter)SLA (source level adjustment)ASL
(automatic sound levelizer)
# When the subwoofer controller setting is only
PREOUT:FUL, you cannot switch to SUB.W.
(Refer to page 44.)
# You can select the 80Hz only when subwoofer
output is turned on in the SUB.W.
# When the subwoofer controller setting is only
PREOUT:FUL, you can switch to the non fading
output on/off setting. (Refer to page 44.)
# You can select the non fading output setting
only when non fading output is turned on in the
non fading output on/off setting.
# When selecting the FM tuner as the source,
you cannot switch to SLA.

# To return to the display of each source, press
BAND.
Note
If you do not operate the audio function within
about 30 seconds, the display is automatically re-
turned to the source display.

Using balance adjustment

You can select a fader/balance setting that
provides an ideal listening environment in all
occupied seats.

Adjusting front/rear balance

Press AUDIO to select FADER.
Press AUDIO until FADER appears in the dis-
play.

Rotate ROTARY ENCODER to adjust
front/rear speaker balance.
Rotating ROTARY ENCODER moves the front/
rear speaker balance towards the front or the
rear.
FADER :F15  FADER :R15 is displayed as the
front/rear speaker balance moves from front to
rear.
# FADER : 0 is the proper setting when only two
speakers are used.
# When the rear output setting is REAR SP:S/W,
you cannot adjust front/rear speaker balance.
Refer to Setting the rear output and subwoofer
controller on page 44.

Adjusting left/right balance

Press AUDIO to select BAL.
Press AUDIO until BAL appears in the display.
