    2. Before Use Charging the Battery Use the specified charger to charge the battery.  Read the Safety Information Booklet before charging.  The battery delivered with the radio is uncharged. To ensure optimum performance, fully charge the battery before initial use.

    Installing the SIM Card Insert the removal tool into the hole on the SIM card tray, and push until the tray pops out. Place the SIM card with the gold contacts facing up on the tray. Slide the SIM card tray back into the slot. Attaching the Battery Insert the top end of the battery into the top of the battery slot.

    3. Basic Operations Turning on or off the Radio To turn on the radio, press and hold the On-Off key until the splash screen appears. To turn off the radio, do as follows: Press and hold the On-Off key until the power-off selection screen appears. Tap Device Power Off, and then tap SURE.
