Power and Control Module

PowerFlex 527 drives consist of a Power Module and Control Module. This
section describes how to separate the two modules and reconnect them back
together, and also how to access the power terminals and control terminals. It is
assumed that your drive is new and has not been installed.
ATTENTION: If you are performing these steps on a drive that has been
installed, ensure that the drive is powered down and the DC Bus voltage is less
than 50V DC before proceeding.

Separating the Power and Control Module

1. Press and hold down the catch on both sides of the frame cover, then pull
out and swing upwards to remove (Frames B...E only).
2. Press down and slide out the top cover of the Control Module to unlock it
from the Power Module.
