Checking the software version
1. Turn the power on while holding down [F1][F2][F3]. Continue holding
these until the panel LED light briefly.
The display will indicate "WELCOME TO TD-8..."
2. Press [CLICK].
3. Press [RIM].
* If you press another switch or press the switches in a different order,
you will not be able to access the version check display. Perform the
procedure once again from the beginning.
4. Press [F1] to see the PROG (Flash memory) version.
Press [F2] to see the CPU (CPU Internal ROM) version.
5. To exit the software version display, turn off the power.
バージョンナンバーの確認方法
1. [F1][F2][F3] を押しながら電源 ON します。パネルの LED が一瞬
点灯するまで押し続けてください。
"WELCOME TO TD-8..."と表示が出ます。
2. [CLICK] を押します。
3. [RIM] を押します。
* 違うスイッチを押したり、 スイッチを押す順序を間違えるとバー
ジョン確認画面に入れません。はじめから操作し直して下さい。
4. [F1] を押すと PROG(Flash メモリ ) のバージョンが表示されます。
[F2] を押すと CPU(CPU Internal ROM) のバージョンが表示されま
す。
5. バージョン確認画面から抜けるには、電源を OFF します。

Data save and load

Bulk dump
To save data, use the external sequencer as you would when recording
musical data, and perform the following steps on the TD-8 as shown in
the following diagram.
Use a MIDI cable to connect the TD-8's MIDI OUT connector to the
MIDI IN connector of the external sequencer.
Procedure
1. Press [SETUP], then [F2 (MIDI)], and then [F3 (BULK)].
[SETUP] lights, and the "BULK DUMP" screen appears.
2. Press [INC/+] or [DEC/-] or rotate the VALUE dial to select the data
that will be transmitted "ALL".
(ALL:All data, including setup, drum kit, User percussion set, User pat-
tern, and song data is sent.)
3. Start the recording process of the external sequencer.
Press [F3 (EXEC)] to begin sending the data.
If you wish to cancel this, press [F1 (STOP)].
Bulk load
Use a MIDI cable to connect the TD-8's MIDI IN connector to the
MIDI OUT connector of the external sequencer.
Procedure
1. When receiving the TD-8 data stored in the MIDI instrument or PC,use
the same system exclusive device ID number as that used fot the exclu-
sive data transmission.
2. Send the settings data from the enternal sequencer to the TD-8.
No Special settings are required for the TD-8 to receive data form an
external sequencer.Everything is done automatically.
* At this time, the TD-8's data is overwritten. Back up any important data
as needed before carrying out this operation.
• To set the ID number
1. Press [SETUP], then [F2 (MIDI)], and [F1 (GLOBAL)],and then [F3
(PAGE3)].
The "MIDI GLOBAL" screen appears.
2. Use [ ] / [ ] to move the cursor to "DEVICE ID"
3. Use [INC/+] or [DEC/-] or the VALUE dial to make the setting.

データのセーブとロードの方法
送信（バルク・ダンプ）の方法
シーケンサーなどの外部機器へ、TD-8 のドラム・キット、 パター
ン、ソングのデータや、設定などを保存できます。
外 部シー ケン サーは 通常の 演奏情 報を 録音す るよう に操 作し、
TD-8 側で次の操作を行って保存します。
TD-8 の MIDI OUT コネクタと外部シーケンサー（保存先）の
MIDI IN コネクタを、MIDI ケーブルで接続してください。
操作手順
1. ［SETUP］→［F2（MIDI） ］→［F3（BULK） ］を押します。
［SETUP］が点灯し、 「BULK DUMP」画面が表示されます。
2. ［INC/+］ 、 ［DEC/-］ または VALUE ダイヤルで送信する内容 (ALL)
を選びます。
（ALL：セットアップ、 ドラム・キット、ユーザー・パーカッショ
ンセット、ユーザー・パターン、ソングのすべてのデータを送信
します。 ）
3. 外部シーケンサーで録音を開始します。 ［F3（EXEC） ］を押すと、
データの送信が開始されます。
途中で送信を止める場合は [F1(STOP)] を押します。
受信（バルク・ロード）の方法
TD-8 の MIDI IN コネクタと外部シーケンサーの MIDI OUT コネ
クタを、MIDI ケーブルで接続してください。
操作手順
1. 送信側の MIDI 機器またはコンピュータからのエクスクルーシ
ブ・メッセージを送信するデバイス ID ナンバーと TD-8 のデバ
イス ID ナンバーを合わせます。
2. 保存したデータを TD-8 に送り返すには、特に設定は必要ありま
せん。外部シーケンサーから設定したデータを TD-8 に送信すれ
ば、その設定が再現されます。
※ このとき、 TD-8 上のデータは上書きされます。 必要に応じてバッ
クアップをとってから、操作を行ってください。
※ シーケンサーやコンピュータに保存した TD-8 のデータを受信す
るときは、エクスクルーシブ・メッセージを送信したときと同じ
デバイス ID ナンバーに設定してください。
・ デバイス ID ナンバーの設定方法
1. ［SETUP］→［F2（MIDI） ］→［F1（GLOBAL） ］→［F3（PAGE
3） ］を押します。
「MIDI GLOBAL」画面が表示されます。
2. [ ] / [ ] を押して 「DEVICE ID] のところにカーソルを合わせま
す。
