Removal or replacement of pilot assembly or pilot
assembly parts. If pilot assembly, sensor or pilot orifice
need replacing, remove main burner with pilot using
procedure described in Paragraph E.1.
1. To replace orifice disconnect pilot tubing.
a. Continuous Ignition (Standing Pilot). Orifice is
retained by compression fitting. See Section IX:

Repair Parts.

b. Intermittent Ignition (EI). Orifice is not
replaceable. Replace pilot burner assembly. See
Section IX: Repair Parts and Paragraph G.4
below.
c. Connect pilot tubing and check for leaks.
2. Continuous Ignition (Standing Pilot). To replace
thermocouple:
a. Loosen attachment nut securing thermocouple to
pilot burner.
b. Remove thermocouple. Replace per Section IX:
Repair Parts.
3. Intermittent Ignition (EI). To adjust or check spark
gap between electrode and hood:
a. Use round wire gauge to check spark gap.
b. Spark gap should be 0.1 inch for optimum
performance. See Figure 22.
4. To replace pilot burner assembly.
a. Remove two machine screws holding pilot
burner to pilot bracket.

c. Replace per Section IX: Repair Parts.
d. Connect pilot tubing, igniter cable, sensor cable
and ground wire.
5. Reinstall main burner following procedure
described in Paragraph E.
H.
Lubrication. There are no parts requiring lubrication
by service technician or owner. Circulator bearings are
water lubricated.
