VI. Electrical

A.
General. Install wiring and ground boiler in accordance
with requirements of authority having jurisdiction, or in
absence of such requirements the National Electrical
Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.

Connect Vent Damper. See Figure 9.
1. Remove 7/8" knockout and cover from Honeywell
L8148E Limit Control.
2. Attach Vent Damper wiring harness into top of
control.
3. Remove plug. Connect Vent Damper Wiring
Harness to Limit's vent damper receptacle.
Note: After Vent Damper is installed and operated
through one cycle, the control circuit will operate only
when Vent Damper is connected in control circuit.
C.
Install thermostat. Locate on inside wall approximately
4 feet above floor. Do not install on outside wall, near
fireplace, or where influenced by drafts or restricted air
flow, hot or cold water pipes, lighting fixtures,
television, or sunlight. Allow free air movement by
avoiding placement of furniture near thermostat.

Wire thermostat. Provide Class II circuit between
thermostat and boiler. Set thermostat heat anticipator to
0.3 amps. See Figure 12 for continuous ignition
(standing pilot) or Figure 13 for intermittent ignition (EI).
If system tends to overheat above thermostat's
temperature setting, reduce heat anticipator setting by
0.1 or 0.2 amps. If system tends to shortcycle without
reaching desired room temperature, increase heat
anticipator setting by 0.1 or 0.2 amps.

New Yorker Link indirect water heater (if used). See
Figure 12 for continuous ignition (standing pilot) or
Figure 13 for intermittent ignition (EI). Also refer to the
New Yorker Link Indirect Water Heater Installation,
Operating and Service Instructions.
1. Zoning with Circulators, Domestic Hot Water
Priority. Provide DPDT relay. Connect coil to the
New Yorker Link indirect water heater thermostat.
Connect normally open contacts to Limit terminals 'Z'
and 'B'. Disconnect yellow circulator wire (Limit
terminal 'C1'). Connect normally closed contacts to
Limit terminal 'C1' and yellow circulator wire.
