Your ZyXEL P-630-S USB Modem Setup Guide

Your Starter Pack Contents:

1 x ZyXEL P-630-S USB Modem 1 x Line Cable (grey)
1 x USB cable 2 x Microfilters 1x Modem Installation CD
Plug a microfilter (B) into your telephone wall socket (A).

Plug your phone (C) into the microfilter's phone socket (B).

All devices connected to your phone line must use a microfilter (B). This
includes fax machines and Sky TV boxes.

Close all programs and applications on your computer.
Insert the modem installation CD in your computer. If the setup does not run

automatically, double-click Autorun.exe from the CD. Click Setup on the main
window.
Click 'P-630-S1 Windows Driver' if you're using Windows 2000 or later to start

the connection wizard.
Windows 98SE users, click 'DUN for Windows 98SE'. Select 'Yes' when
prompted to install DUN 1.4 (You may need your Windows 98 disk). Reboot
your computer once the installation has finished and click 'P-630-S1' Windows
Driver to start the connection wizard.

You will be prompted to connect your modem. Attach the modem (E) to your
computer (G) with the USB cable (F).

The install window will confirm when the installation has finished. Click OK.

Plug the line cable (D) into the DSL socket on the modem (E) and the DSL
socket on the microfilter (B). The DSL LED will turn a steady green when there
is a connection.

  • Page 2 The broadband status icon (two computers) will appear in the system tray, usually in the bottom right of the screen. Double click the icon (fig 1). (fig 1) Select ‘PPPoA’ from the ‘Installed Profile’ dropdown list. Click Reinstall. The ‘adsl’ dial-up icon is created on your desktop (fig 2).
