Starting the Experiment
Now that the software is ready to work, the test-monitoring window will appear:
The test-monitoring window includes the following sections:
6.3.1
Main Box
As soon as the experiment is
started from the device, the
main box on the left will con-
tinuously plot the pulling-force
intensity along time.
Note that the pulling force ap-
pears as a
blue
line, overlap-
ping a straight black line: the
latter indicates the desired
target force rate, as set via in
the instrument configuration
menu (slope feature)
See paragraphs 1.1.1-Consistent Results and 6.5-Slope Function.
This function helps the experiment to apply the pulling force consistently, by simply mak-
ing sure that the blue trace lays on the black line.
At the beginning of each new trial, the plot window refreshes so that just the current and
latest one is visualized.
