6. MANUAL LOWERING

In the event of a power failure, the emergency cab lights will turn on. Use the
telephone to call for help. An authorized technician ONLY can then use the
manual lowering device to move the elevator to the landing below.
1 Instruct the passenger (s) in the elevator to remain calm and stay well back
from the door of the elevator. Ease their concern by telling them your
intentions.
2 Switch the main power disconnect switch to the "OFF" position.
3 Locate the manual access door and unlock it with the key. Use the manual
lowering device (hand crank) which moves the counterweight assembly in
the up direction thereby lowering the cab until it reaches the landing below.
4 Close and lock the manual access door.
5 Open the landing door (using the special emergency key) and assist the
passenger(s) to exit the cab.
After use of any emergency function (access key or manual
lowering device), ensure that all doors/gates are secure and
locked. While the emergency function is in use, DO NOT leave the
area unattended.

7. RESET BUTTON PENDANT

In the event that the elevator is not functioning
properly, try resetting the elevator by pressing the star
(asterisk) key on the Reset Button Pendant. If the
problem persists, contact your Authorized Dealer for
assistance.
