TROUBLESHOOTING

Before taking your camera to the repair shop, check the following table for a
possible solution to the problem.
No power.

The digital
camera turns off
by itself.
An image is not
captured when
the shutter
release button is
pressed.

Problem
The battery pack
is dead.
The battery pack
has not been
inserted
correctly.
The battery
compartment
cover is not fully
closed.
The power save
function is
operating.
The power is not
turned on.
Cause
Change or
recharge the
battery pack.
Reinsert the
battery pack,
making sure to
orient it correctly.
Close battery
compartment
cover properly.
Press the
MENU button,
or press the
shutter release
button once.
If the power
save function
has turned the
digital camera
off, then press
the MENU
button or press
once on the
shutter release
button to turn
the digital
camera back on.
If the power is
turned of, turn
the selector dial.
