Formatting the Date/Time Column in Excel

In Excel, dates and times for each data point may initially appear as ####### and times may not have seconds
listed.
To display the full date and time with seconds in Excel, complete the following steps:
1.
Adjust the time column width so you can see the whole date and time.
2.
Select the time column from row 3 down.
3.
Select
Format»Cells
4.
Select the
Custom
5.
Add
(or
:ss.000
:ss
m/d/yyyy h:mm:ss
m/d/yyyy h:mm:ss.000
6.
Click
OK
. The seconds should be listed automatically.
To export the date and time in separate columns, go to
Date and time format: Separate into two columns
.

m/d/yyyy h:mm
