Step 3: Place the power switch of the Eudemon200 firewall to the ON position.
Step 4: Check that the POWER LED on the front panel of the Eudemon200 firewall is
ON, which means the power cord connection is correct.

3.5 Connect the Console Terminal

I. Introduction to console port
Each Eudemon200 firewall provides an EIA/TIA-232-comliant asynchronous serial
console port, through which the user can configure the Eudemon200. For the console
interface attributes, refer to Section 1.4.
II. Console cable
Console cable is an 8-core shielded cable. At one end of the cable is a crimped RJ-45
connector that is to be plugged into the console port of the Eudemon200 firewall. At the
other end of the cable are a DB-9 (female) connector and a DB-25 (female) connector.
You can plug either of them into the serial port on the console terminal as needed.
The following figure illustrates the console cable.

III. Connect console cable
Before you configure the Eudemon200 firewall at the console terminal, connect the
console cable in the following steps:
